Got concerns about SEO? Read this!
I have been practicing SEO for almost a decade and I find people are not aligned with SEO who are just starting out for the first time.
All business owners and marketers are using SEO because of its effectiveness and the results can be quantified. But is also true that many people I meet and meeting that I attend it is clear there is a movement to avoid SEO because one major concern preventing them that is just learning more about it. So, I feel it is my duty to help clear up some misconceptions about SEO and I have come up with this list of some of the most common concerns typically associated SEO newcomers.
Its all about money and there is nothing wrong in thinking along those lines but to base your SEO only on the rate of return (ROI) is not the right strategy. Remember it takes time and effort to accomplish those rising rankings, and there’s no guarantee how much extra traffic you are going to get which is the priority. Also, let’s not forget about your conversion rates. So firstly work on building a strong SEO platform and work on it and after some time if you have followed the basic principle of SEO there will be ROI. However, these concerns are to some extent valid so keep your SEO strategy that’s both flexible and intended for the long-term and try changing tactics and/or improve your methods until you start seeing positive momentum.
Time is the investment
SEO is a long-term strategy and it is simply not possible to see results in the first week, and probably not even in the first month or the next but don’t worry SEO is a process. So do not hesitate to spend hours optimizing your site and be willing to make the time investment in learning and practicing SEO. Remember even a few simple changes to your website’s structure and visibility can give you a boost, and provide ROI for the time well spent.
Please be aware when you practice SEO you must keep in mind about Google penalties because once you are penalized it is game over so take time to fully understand them because those who don’t pay the price. Keep a lookout for Panda and Penguin updates which is not hard and although Google penalties occur under the most egregious circumstances when a company or in most case an individual intentionally and repeatedly was trying to manipulate rank. So keep it clean and keep it organic.
The complexity of SEO is enough to turn some people away entirely because it is cast and always changing but that is the beauty because those who are able to keep up are still in business and with the money, they are making are able to invest on other marketing strategies. There are some legitimate concerns about SEO for newcomers but if you follow the rules and know how to play the game by being invested it is guaranteed to pay off. Given enough time, investment, dedication and planning a respectable SEO strategy will yield a positive ROI.
